Impacted Wisdom Teeth

Why get your wisdom teeth removed?

Removal of wisdom teeth has become a routine practice in young adults.  Even if you don’t have any pain, wisdom teeth can become impacted.

That means they can break through the jaw and into your mouth, cause dental crowding in those with small mouths or damage adjacent teeth. Many times, wisdom teeth are extracted to prevent problems later on in life.  If you wait, wisdom teeth can fuse to the jaw bone making extracting them more difficult with higher risks; including numbness or mobility limitations of the jaw.

See your dentist regularly and have your wisdom teeth evaluated.
