Oral Pathology

Oral pathology involved the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the oral and maxillofacial region, including diseases of bone, soft tissue, and salivary glands. These diseases include:

  • Cysts
  • Tumors
  • Aphthous Ulcers (canker sores)
  • Herpes Labialis (cold sore)
  • Fungus (yeast or thrush)

Excision of hard and soft tissue lesions

Abnormal tissue growths, such as cysts or tumors, must often be surgically removed to improve appearance and function of the affected area, or in the case of a malignant tumor, to avoid the spread of cancer. These include:

  • Mucocele or Ranula
  • Epulis
  • Epithelial Cells
  • Soft Tissue Lesions
  • Fibromas
